Obviously, not every mortgage program is appropriate for every borrower. There are certain programs that are excellent for some and disastrous for others. Occasionally, news programs feature desperate homeowners complaining about their house payments doubling or tripling without notice. It is unlikely any of these homeowners sought the advice of a professional Mortgage Consultant when they applied for a mortgage. An ethical Mortgage Consultant would have at least informed the homeowner of the extreme risk and most likely would have found a more suitable loan program.
